What’s with the names?

Feel free to write our names with or without the Icelandic spelling! The Þ (thorn) in Arndís’s name is transcribed as Th in other languages. So you can go with Þórarinsdóttir, Thórarinsdóttir or Thorarinsdottir – it’s all good. In Iceland we sort names alphabetically by first name, which is why Arndís’s name comes first on the Icelandic covers of our books. If you’re from a country where you sort by last names, then by all means put Hulda first, as Bjarnadóttir is her patronym. Sigrún is a middle name.
