About us
Hulda and Arndis are Icelandic writers who have so far published three co-written novels, two of them for children, but the latest is a crime novel for adults.
Our latest book, Morð og messufall, was published in Icelandic in 2025. It’s a light-hearted cozy crime novel, and unlike our previous books it is intended for adult readers.
Blokkin á heimsenda was published in Icelandic in 2020 and won both the 2020 Guðrún Helgadóttir manuscript competition and the 2020 Icelandic Literary Prize in the children’s book category. It was nominated for the German Children’s Book Award, as well as the Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize.
It has been published in Denmark, the Netherlands, Russia , Germany, Finland and is due out in France, China, Hungary and North Macedonia.
Mömmuskipti, was published in Icelandic in 2023. It was nominated for the Icelandic Literary Prize in the children’s book category, and placed third in the same category of the 2023 Icelandic Booksellers’ prize.
